Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is a very good game, there is no doubt about this. Crystal Dynamics made a good game for PS3 and on PS4 received solid lift. But it doesn't justify high price of the game. If you haven't played it yet - you can wait for a price drop and buy it.

The first week of sales for Crystal Dynamics re-release of last year's Tomb Raider, now known as the Definitive Edition, has garnered them quite the sales for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, the PlayStation 4 boasted a much higher margin of sales over its eighth-gen x86 compatriot.

The game has been beefed up in almost every way. Crystal Dynamics has spent a good chunk of time reworking everything from the basic level art to characters and poly count. They completely upgraded Laras player model (which slightly changed her face for better or worse).

The series grew over time, leading to two major motion pictures starring Angelina Jolie. After a while, most of the Tomb Raider games began to fall in quality, and lost a good portion of the fan base. However, that interest was sparked once again when a reboot of the franchise was announced as coming from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix.
